Danish as system language, usability and performance enhancements, and public project sites are some of the news in the latest version of Antura Projects.

Danish as system language

In addition to English and Swedish, Danish can now be chosen as the system language. The increased number of system languages has also led to the following improvements:

  • Possibility to choose what languages that should be activated
  • Possibility to choose default language for new users
  • Easier editing when translating
    • Quick editing by double-clicking the cells
    • Texts are grouped based on type
    • Possibility to only show texts that are not translated

Usability and performance improvements

Usability and performance improvements Updated cells turns yellow and fades back to white in the same way as when new rows are added to the schedule.

A large number of views have been improved in several ways to increase the usability and performance. This includes among other things:

  • More effective data handling on the server
  • Columns are updating without reloading the page
  • Optimization of JavaScript and HTML code for quicker page loading

Public project site

Public project site

It is now possible to publish project information to a public project site. The purpose of the public project site is that outside parties that does not have access to Antura Projects by an ordinary user account, may still be kept informed. Information is always in real time and is easily spread by letting the parties have access to the site link. The page can if necessary be protected by a password. The following information can be published:

  • The project image
  • The project model
  • News
  • Documents
  • Any user-defined project properties

Improved risk management

Improved risk management

Major improvements in risk management which include the following items:

  • Functionality to configure the risk matrix size as well as the threshold values in full compliance with the organization's needs.
  • Functionality to define custom properties for risks in the same way as for projects, issues and resources.
  • Risk measures are now represented by issues, in which each measure can have a separate status, deadlines, and responsible.

Enhanced time type support

Multi choice controls have been introduced to allow comparison between any time types in the system and to see resource load from more perspectives. It is now possible to choose the following time types and combinations of time types:

  • Working time
  • Booked
  • Planned
  • Available
  • Assigned
  • Reported
  • Reported absence
  • Tentative
  • Requested
  • Working – Planned
  • Working – Reported
  • Requested – Assigned
  • Planned – Reported
  • Assigned – Planned requests
  • Available – Not assigned requested

Subscriptions

Subscriptions

Daily and weekly reports in the system have been replaced by subscriptions which are richer than the previous daily/weekly reports. Users are free to configure these in regards to the content, frequency, and when they are sent out. A user can have multiple subscriptions.

Color choice on deliveries, tasks and milestones

Color choice

Functionality to change the color of any WBS element. This can be used to easier group or categorize different stages of a project. This also affects the appearance of the Gantt chart.

Improved support for project models

Decision point history

The support for project models has been extended to better support different types of project models.

  • Iteration of decision points
  • Approval date is now stored separately from the planning date of the decision point which makes it possible to discover so-called “gate slips”
Split phases
  • Functionality to configure how a decision point should split phases

Antura Projects for PPS updates

Antura Projects for PPS has been updated for PPS OnLine 2012 and has received several additions.

Improved connecting of files

Connect files

Connecting files to tasks, issues and the project start page has been simplified. It is now possible to search and connect existing files in an easy manner, straight from the dialog. This change affects the following aspects:

  • Project documents Project place – Start page
  • Documents presented at the public project site
  • Files connected to issues
  • Files connected to tasks

Document properties

It is now possible to define additional properties for documents in the same way as for projects, issues, risks and resources.

The search capabilities for documents have been extended to allow simpler and more precise searches. The new document properties are also included to find the right document faster and easier. This change affects to the following views:

Improved multi file download

Multi file download

The download functionality in My place – Documents and Project place – Documents has been improved in the following aspects:

  • Setting whether the most recent or all versions of the files should be downloaded or not
  • Progress that shows the download process
  • Archiving all documents in a project

Improved portfolio reports

Portfolio reports The selected report columns can easily be dragged and dropped into the desired order.

The portfolio reports have been enhanced in several aspects to improve usability and functionality.

  • Only selected report columns are shown in the editing dialogs
  • Improved column chooser with grouping
  • Column order with drag and drop
  • Column sorting with ascending and descending order

Area as chart type

Area

Both Project portfolio – Dashboards and Project portfolio – Charts now contain area charts. Area charts are commonly used to represent increasing totals with either values or percentage over time.

The chart type is a kind of bar chart where the selection can be grouped in a way similar to pie charts.
